Well done to Conor McEvoy who won the Tom McGurk Cup with a 58 nett ,Derek Shekleton was second with a 60 nett.Next Sunday is the Jody Hetherton memorial Single Stableford competition ,timesheet is posted in the clubhouse.

There is a new 9-Hole Stableford Competition starting Wed.24th at 7.30pm and each week thereafter.Open to all members,entry fee 3 euros.

Virginia golf club annual classic is taking place 2nd ,3rd and 4th of June,pair up and invite 2 non members .Want to play but dont have non member guests? Contact a committee member to join a team. Timesheet posted in clubhouse.

Seniors competition for ladies and gents has resumed on Tuesdays,draw at 10am.All members over 55 are very wellcome

The entry sheets for the club matchplay competitions are posted in the clubhouse. Draw is being made on Monday 15th May.Players can chose there partner for the Paddy Gormley Cup.

On Friday 12th may the mixed scramble kicks of with a draw at 6.45 pm.Next Sunday 14th May is a Single Stableford competition,timesheet is posted in the clubhouse.

On Saturday 6th may there is a ladies and gents R&A 9 hole Single S/ford.Arrange playing partners and play all all day 5Euro .This is a regional Qualifier and you cannot play another competition on same day.

Seniors competitions for ladies and gents have resumed on Tuesdays . draw at 10 am all seniors welcome.

Chestnut Tree Spring League Final Week

Congrats to Alan Rock who just scrapped home to win the individual prize on the last day of the Chestnut Tree Spring League with 45 pts. The winning team and all individual prizes will be announced at the Presentation in the Chestnut Tree at 8.30pm on this Friday the 7th of April. Should be a great night and a big attendance is expected.

 

The Captains' Drive-in is the following Sunday the 9th of April sponsored by Lisgrey house. The Club would like to take this opportunity to wish Captains Sean McEvoy and Moira Blacklock a great day and a very sucessful year.

 

Week 5 Chestnut Tree Spring League

Well done to Sean Sheridan who won the individual prize on week 5 of the Chestnut Tree Spring league with 43 points.Next week is the final week and it is all to play for ,the presentation of prizes  is in the Chestnut Tree on Friday the 7th of April at eight thiirty where all the winners will be announced.

The Captain's drive-in is on Sunday the 9th of April at 1 pm. Entry sheets are posted in the clubhouse. Please enter your name and handicap on the entry sheet as soon as possible so everyone can be accommodated .Annual Sub is now due and should be paid before the end of March.
