The entry sheet is in the clubhouse for the annual Spring League, this year with a new sponsor. We welcome The Ramor Inn & Ryefield Stores as our competition sponsor.
The Ramor Inn and Ryefield Stores serve the community of Munterconnaught and are delighted to get the opportunity to sponsor the Virginia Golf Club Spring League. They have been proud supporters of the local Golf Society for the past 15 years and Virginia Golf Club are delighted to have them part of our Club. The prize-giving will be held in the Ramor Inn at the completion of the League.
The men of Virginia Golf Club were rained off on Saturday last but managed a healthy turnout on Sunday with over 30 players teeing up for the weekend competition. Given the rain that fell the previous day the condition of the Golf Course was remarkable and testament to the great work by Brian Cullen, our Greenkeeper over the winter months.
The competition was intense with count-back required to separate the top 3 players. Vivian Connell shaded the decision with his back 9, edging out Stephen Smith (level par Gross) and Michael Coleman.
