Here at Virginia Golf Club we take your privacy very seriously and will only use your personal information to administer your membership and services provided by the Golf Club.

When you join or visit our Golf Club we collect only the information required from you to be able to fulfill our contractual obligations. We may also collect further information through our website which allows us to contact you regarding events at and notification relating to the club.

When you join as a member we may share your information with external and internal data processors which would include our membership system, the national centralised handicap/competitions system and within posts on our website, Facebook page and/or social media sites.

As a visitor to our club we may share your information with external and internal data processors which would primarily be the national centralised handicap system.

Your personal data is controlled internally by the clubs Data Protection Officer/Honorary Secretary in accordance with our Data Policy & Procedures and access is restricted to a limited numbers of club officers for the efficient operation of the Golf Club.

 Marketing & Contacting You

As a member, we will correspond with you regarding our activities including events and competitions by way of post, telephone, email and SMS. If you wish to opt out of such contact methods you can opt out at any time however in accordance with our constitution we may have to correspond with you to fulfill our obligation therein from time to time.

It is important to note that we don’t share your data with external marketing companies.
